You may have heard something about AC Mini-Splits but weren’t sure what the term referred to, other than being a type of air conditioning system. Simply put, without going into a lot of technical jargon, a mini-split is an air conditioning unit that combines an indoor and outdoor component to bring you the best in AC comfort. What makes them so great is that the outdoor component is where all the racket you normally associate with an air conditioning unit takes place, which means that on the inside you’ll enjoy peace and quiet. In fact, you won’t even know it’s there, except for the cool, comfortable feeling you get.

Another cool (pardon the pun) thing about the AC Mini-Split is that it is great when it comes to energy efficiency. Since there are no ducts, the cool air stays in your home, and you won’t be cooling the outside. What does that mean to you? Lower energy bills for one thing, since the system won’t have to work as hard to cool your home. And there are no ducts to keep the air from getting through by getting clogged with dirt, dust, and all sorts of other debris. Just think how wonderful it would be if you only lost five percent of your home’s cool air instead of the 35 or 40 percent that the duct systems lose.

AC Mini-Split is also known for being friendly to the environment. Many of us are really conscious these days about “going green,” with the threat of global warming, dwindling resources, and dirty air hanging over our heads. The unique refrigerant these systems use is specially designed not to deplete the ozone layer, which is really important when it comes to the long-term survival of our planet. Just think if all air conditioning units could make this claim, how much better our environmental picture would look.

And AC Mini Splits dot com provide a measure of safety. If you have those old-fashioned window air conditioners, have you ever worried about how easy it would be for somebody to break into your home? With the mini-split, the outer unit is mounted high on a wall, away from windows or other openings. So not only will you feel safer, you’ll get back that beautiful summertime view you’ve been missing. There is no doubt that the mini-split is the best way to go when it comes to air conditioning.

The AC Multi-Split System combines quiet operation, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, and ductless operation all into one unit. So how can this benefit you, the air conditioning consumer? Some real-world examples might give you a better idea. For example, a home builder in North Carolina that specializes in “green” construction has committed to using these systems to cool entire homes and not limit their use to just one room. It was a decision they made after seeing them in operation virtually everywhere they traveled during a trip to Japan and experiencing how efficiently they operate.

A couple that owns a 2,400 square foot home in British Columbia was dissatisfied with their HVAC system, feeling that parts of their home were either too warm or too cold, and they were losing serious money when it came to their energy bills. By converting their home to an AC Mini-Split system, they were able to enjoy comfort no matter what part of the house they were in over the entire year. In the process, they were able to save significant money on their energy bills in an area where temperatures can range from 100 degrees in the summer to below zero in the winter.

Then there is the case of a couple who built a brand new, two-story home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who were at first planning to use the ample room above their three-car garage as storage space. But after living in the home for a time, they decided to convert the space into a media room. They soon discovered that the most efficient way to meet their HVAC needs was to install an AC Mini-Split system for not only that area, but for the rest of the home as well. The total installation time was less than three hours, and was completed by only two workers.

Finally, there is the touching story of the Gulf War veteran. While she was serving her country in Iraq, her husband decided to make her homecoming a memorable occasion by making over their 1,400 square foot home in Hawaii. Upon her return, they completed the task by installing an AC Mini-Split system. They continue to be amazed at how the unit continues to keep their home extremely cool, even upstairs, during the blistering Hawaiian summer. Now you can have your own success story to tell by installing a mini-split system in your home, joining the growing list of satisfied customers.

If you are considering installing a new air conditioning system for the first time or are looking to replace your old, worn out unit, then should learn a bit more about the AC Mini-Split. It’s a way to cool your home or office by combining an indoor and outdoor component, which keeps the noise out and the cool air in. And since there are no ducts to deal with, you don’t have to worry about all that nice, cool air escaping to the outside. So what could be better than combining efficient operation and being able to enjoy a little peace and quiet in your home.

Another interesting fact about the AC Mini-Split is that there is no big hassle when it comes to installation. Who needs the outside of their house torn up for several days, looking like a tornado just came through and making it impossible to enjoy your favorite outdoor activities? Even worse, think of the mess that could occur inside your home, which would serve to disrupt your lifestyle, not to mention having to deal with strangers wandering around your house. With the mini-split, a certified HVAC contractor can normally complete the job in just a few hours, with a minimum of interruption to your daily routine.

And with the AC Mini-Split system, maintenance is a breeze. All you need to do is wash the plasma filter in mild detergent after every 400 hours of use, and the filter only needs to be replaced after six or eight years. There’s no worry about cleaning ducts or some of the other nasty chores that can come with traditional air conditioning units. You also don’t have to worry in the unlikely event that you have a problem with your unit. Many manufacturers offer a two-year warranty for parts and a six-year warranty for the compressor, and they’re willing and able to answer your questions either through a toll free telephone number or by email.

But what you’ll enjoy the most about your AC Mini-Split system is how great it is for your pocketbook. These systems allow only about five percent of the cool air to escape, compared to the 40 percent allowed by the duct systems. It doesn’t take a math major to figure out that you could end up saving a ton of money. Your air conditioning system should make you cool as a cucumber, not hot under the collar.

Choosing the right air conditioning unit for your home can be confusing. From central air to window units to portable units, your choices are as varied as your choices in BTU capacity. One type of air conditioning unit you may not have considered is the a/c mini split style of air conditioner. There are many ac mini split tips out there and we’ll cover the basics here. First of all, an ac mini split style of air conditioner is made up of a long, narrow air handler vent unit that is mounted through your wall and an outside generator unit.

The first step in choosing your new ac mini split style of air conditioner is to decide how many BTUs you need. Just as with all a/c units, all good a/c mini split tips recommend determining first how many BTUs are needed to cool the area in which you will be installing the air conditioning unit. Generally, the size of the area you want to cool will determine the number of BTUs your mini split ac will need to have. If you want to cool more than one room with your mini split style ac, you will need to purchase and install an air handler in each room.

A good ac mini split tip is to carefully consider the type of air handler vent unit you will need in your home. You can buy vents that mount on the wall or on the ceiling. One thing to consider with an ac mini split is the fact that unlike with wall units or portable units, you will need to have an HVAC professional install the unit. You can also consult with this air conditioning professional on the best type of air handler vent for the room(s) you wish to cool.

A good ac mini split tip is to know that these types of air conditioners are also referred to as ductless air conditioners. And even though an ac mini split style air conditioner requires professional installation, it is far less complicated to install than central air conditioning. This will lower all associated installation costs when compared to central air conditioning. You have many choices when shopping for an air conditioning unit or system for your home. A mini split ac, or ductless ac, is cost effective, not difficult to install and takes up very little space which are just a few of the reasons it is a popular choice.

So you’ve decided to purchase a new air conditioning system and are wondering how to use ac mini splits. That is to be expected. There are many different types of air conditioning units and systems on the market. You can go with central air conditioning, a wall unit air conditioner, a portable air conditioner or the mini split air conditioner which is also sometimes known as a ductless air conditioner. A mini split air conditioner has an air handler, or vent, which is mounted on the wall or ceiling as well as an air compressor that sits outside of your home. Mini split air conditioning systems do require professional installation, but despite this fact are cost effective when compared to central air conditioning.

Central air conditioning, wall unit air conditioning and even to a certain extent portable air conditioners are pretty straightforward both in their use, function and installation. But ductless systems are not as intuitively understood so you may find yourself wondering how to use ac mini splits. One thing you can consider is the environmental impact of your air conditioning unit or system. Mini split ac systems do avoid the energy losses associated with air conditioning systems that employ a network of ducts. Energy is lost through the ducts; it can escape where the duct joins the unit and the compressor as well as through cracks in the duct work itself. A ductless or mini split ac is a greener choice in air conditioning units and can have much less of an impact on your pocketbook.

With an ac mini split system you have two basic pieces; the air handler, or vent, and the air compressor. As previously mentioned, the vent is mounted on the wall or ceiling and the air compressor is outside of your home. Questions may arise about how to use ac mini splits in terms of how the air handler and air compressor work together. A conduit runs from the air vent to the air compressor through a hole in the wall. This hole is generally only three inches in diameter, making this sort of air conditioning system less intrusive overall.

The flexibility you have in how and where to install the air handler vent part of the mini split ac gives you more options on how to integrate this ductless ac into your home. Hopefully now you feel like you know how to use ac mini splits.

There are many potential applications for the mini split ac. They can be used institutional, commercial, or residential buildings. They are most commonly found in multifamily housing units. Another common application is to use the mini split ac as a retrofit add-on to a house that has a ductless heating system. Non-ducted heating systems can include space heaters using kerosene, propane, or wood; a hydronic heating system that uses hot water to heat; and radiant panels. The mini split ac can also be used in place where installing, or extending, ductwork would not be feasible, such as adding an additional room onto a house or building or in small apartments.

The mini split ac is similar to central heating and air systems. They are made up of two components – an air-handling unit for indoors and a compressor/condenser that is located outdoors. The two components are linked together by a conduit; a tube leading from one to the other that contains a power cable, suction tubing, refrigerant tubing, and a condensate drain. The mini split ac is small in size and easier to install than other types of air conditioning systems. It is also a way to save money and energy by allowing you to cool one room at a time. Some models are equipped with as many as four air-handling units that connect to one outdoor compressor/condenser. Each indoor unit is installed in a separate room and has it’s own thermostat. This allows you to turn the unit on only when someone is in the room.

The mini split ac unit offers more flexibility than other types of air conditioning units. Manufacturers can usually provide different lengths of conduits, allowing you to place the outside unit as far as 50 feet away from the indoor unit. This allows you to place the outdoor unit in an inconspicuous place without detracting from the beauty of your property. When installing the system, the conduit generally only requires a 3-inch hole in the wall in order to connect the outside compressor to the inside air-handling unit. Since the unit is ductless, you can also save the more than 30% of energy consumption that is lost using air conditioning systems that requires ductwork.

Are you considering adding a room onto your home or purchasing a new air-conditioning system? The mini split ac offers you lots of flexibility, both inside and out, and saves both energy and money. These easy-to-install systems are the perfect solution for additional rooms or and add-on shop or garage. Check out our selection today.

The mini split ac unit is the perfect solution for homes and businesses. Whether you are building a new room onto an existing home, building a new home or office, or need to upgrade your air conditioning system, the ductless mini split ac is the perfect solution. The mini split ac unit is similar to the standard central heating and cooling systems. However, the mini split ac system is smaller and does not require the hassle of installing ductwork. This makes this unit one of the most affordable and easiest to install air conditioning systems available today.

The mini split ac unit is comprised of two components – a compressor located on the outside of the home and an air-handling unit located on the inside of the home. Systems are available with more than one air-handling unit if you need to provide cooling for more than one room. Rather than the intricate and space-using ductwork that is required for a standard central unit, the air-handling units are connected to the outside compressor via a conduit. This saves space as well as making the system easy to install. The manufacturer can provide conduits in a variety of sizes, which gives you more choices for installation. Some reach as far as 50 feet from the room that the air-handling unit is installed in, which allows you to place the outside unit in a place that is less conspicuous and doesn’t take away from the beauty of your home.

One of the most important advantages of the mini split ac unit is that the unit is energy efficient and can save you hundreds of dollars on your cooling bills. Each air-handling unit is equipped with a thermostat. This allows you to control the temperature in each room and gives you the option of not wasting energy by cooling a room that is not being used. The air-handling unit also comes with a filter, which means that it releases fewer pollutants, and dust particles into the room making the air you breathe cleaner and safer.

Are you thinking about adding a room or office onto your home? Or are you just looking into replacing your old air conditioning system for a modern, energy-efficient system? Either way, a mini split ac unit may be just what you have been searching for. These systems are affordable, easy to install, and save you money while saving the environment. Find out if a mini split air conditioner is right for you!

The ductless mini split ac reviews show that this type of air conditioning system is quickly becoming a favorite choice for many people. It is especially one of the best options for those who do not have existing ductwork in their home or office space. Like a central heating and cooling system, this type of air conditioning system has two components – a compressor that is installed on the outside of your home and an air-handler unit that is installed on the inside of your home. Unlike the central unit, the mini split ac unit is not connected by ductwork, but rather by a conduit. A conduit is a tube that connects the inside unit to the outside unit and contains a power cable, refrigerant tubing, suction tubing, and condensate drain.

Some of the ductless mini split ac reviews show that the ductless unit is easier to install. Another thing that people are pleased about is that the conduit only requires a hole of about 3 inches to be drilled into the wall. This results in fewer invasions into the structure of the home or office and less unsightly holes or ductwork. The absence of ductwork also increases the energy efficiency of the unit, which results in hundreds of dollars of savings to cool your home of office during the summer months.

The ductless mini split ac reviews show that many people who are adding a room onto their home or building a stand-alone office or shop consider this type of air conditioning one of the most cost and energy efficient choices available. Another plus is that systems with multiple air-handling units allow you to control the temperature of each room individually. If you install a system with multiple air-handling units, one unit is installed in each room that you want to cool. If you are not using a room, the unit does not have to be turned on. Once you turn the system on, it quickly begins to cool the room. The units are also portable and can be moved around the room to get the best results. Each room unit has it’s own thermostat control so the person using the room can control the temperature in the room.

If you want to provide air conditioning for that space without the hassle of installing additional ductwork or using a noisy window unit, check out the ductless mini split air conditioners reviews and see if this is what you have been looking for. There is no time like the present to find the best air conditioning unit available. AC Mini Splits might work just great for your home or business.

As with any appliance, there are times when a problem may arise. Much of the ductless mini split ac troubleshooting can be done yourself before calling a repairman. This can save time as well as money. Many homeowners want to do as much of the work as they can do themselves before incurring the expense of calling in a professional. Before you make that call, here are a few things that you can check yourself:

If the unit is not working properly, your ductless mini split ac troubleshooting should begin by checking for a fault code on the display on the fan coil. The display usually shoes an E (for Error) and a number. This number allows you to narrow down the specific problem using the owner manual. If the problem is not solved, check the room temperature setting. This is usually done with the remote control. Check to see if the unit is in the correct mode and the setpoint is correct. If the air handler display is blank, you should check the breaker or fuse. If the unit has tripped the breaker, check the wiring connections to be sure everything is connected properly. You should also check the fuse on the control board if your air-handler unit is equipped with one.

Continue your ductless mini split ac troubleshooting by checking the air filter. The air filter should be washed once a month as a part of your regular maintenance on your system. Then check to see if the coil has any ice buildup around it. If so, check the fan to be sure it is working properly. Once you have eliminated any problems with the inside unit, you should move to the outside unit. Begin by checking the fan on the outside unit. If the fan is not working properly, the dual run capacitor should be checked. A bulging can is a sign that the capacitor can is bad and needs to be replaced. Next check the compressor to be sure that it is running and check the coil for the outdoor unit to be sure that it is not covered in ice. Next, check the refrigerant level. If the refrigerant needs to be replaced, check the laws in your area – some areas require that a certified professional handle refrigerant materials.

Are you thinking of replacing an existing air conditioning system? If so, you can see how easy ductless mini split ac troubleshooting can be. And, just think of the money you can save by being able to do much of the work yourself. Say goodbye to expensive repairmen and crawling around in the attic or underneath the house to troubleshoot. The ac mini-split system makes life cool and easy!
